In 2009, I was looking for a job. I thought that retail would be a good bet, and it would just be a placeholder for a few months until I found something better.

But when I was hired at Babies ‘R’ Us, I discovered that I really had an interest and passion for baby products and gear. I learned everything that I could, and really found a purpose in helping overwhelmed parents-to-be with figuring out what they needed to welcome their new baby to the world.

In my 12 years of experience working in the baby retail industry, I helped many parents learn what they need (and don’t need!) to prepare for their little one’s arrival. I have worked at both large chains and local boutiques, and have a wealth of knowledge in everything from car seats to cloth diapers.

I became certified as a child passenger safety technician in 2013, and in the last 8 years, I have helped hundreds of families ensure that their children are safe in the car.

Since 2016, I have offered support for new parents in The Leaky Boob Community’s Facebook group, one of Facebook’s largest parenting support groups, and was featured in The Leaky Boob’s 2021 New Baby Guide.

Birth and lactation have been a passion of mine for a long time, and in 2023, I became a certified lactation counselor. My next goal is to become certified as a postpartum doula.
